Built in partnership with the Columbia Gorge Stewardship Alliance, this website gives visitors and locals with disabilities key information and photos on businesses and trails before they visit. It includes measurements of tables, bathrooms and doorways as well as parking and ground conditions.
The project also includes self-guided Audio Stories along 11 Gorge trails which feature local experts, Native elders, historians, and other various community members, covering a wide variety of topics including local Sasquatches, bird calls, town relocations, 7000 foot rock tidal waves, and more.
To make the experience more inclusive, the recordings are also available by text for the deaf and hard of hearing community as well as for easy translation into 100+ languages. The audio recordings are offered in both English and Spanish.
